J.R.R. Tolkien

Posted at 11:50 am under Weekly Entry, Authors

Someone that has inspired me was J.R.R. Tolkien. He inspired me to write my books. He is the best author in the world. If you remember my top five authors post he was number 1. He uses hither, thither, and colour. I have loved his books since fourth grade. My favorite book that he has written is “The Hobbit.” Here is the opening paragraph from his book:

In a hole in the ground lived a hobbit. Not a nasty, dirty, wet hole, filled with the ends of worms and am oozy smell, nor yet a dry, sandy hole with nothing in it to sit down on or to eat: it was a hobbit-hole, and that means comfort.

This was an excellent book and I recommend it to everyone. I love the way J.R.R. Tolkien writes. He has a cool style. He inspired me to write. I have short stories, poems, and books. I wrote a short story called “Sir Vaine, Knight of Gylor” which I will be making a page for. I hope to get all of my works published. What I am hoping to do is create a wikispaces for my book. That will be the HQ for “The Fight for Lancet.”

LOTR precciioooouuusss!

It’s great that you look up to an author such as him. He is a great writer and you have the potential to be just like him if you set your mind to it. I have seen an author use words like hither or thither, but I have heard of colours. I love the words colours. I love the English way of spelling of colours and harbour and other words. You have a great person to look up to. Keep going! :)
