Why Use Technology?

Answering Tim Holt’s post, I think we use technology to help make things easier. Now we have a website where I can access things that I have written at school, at home. Usually I would have to use paper to print out my work and I had to waste space in my back pack to bring those papers home. Technology is important because with our new technological finds people can collaborate with other people around the world.

J.R.R. Tolkien

Someone that has inspired me was J.R.R. Tolkien. He inspired me to write my books. He is the best author in the world. If you remember my top five authors post he was number 1. He uses hither, thither, and colour. I have loved his books since fourth grade. My favorite book that he has written is “The Hobbit.” Here is the opening paragraph from his book:

In a hole in the ground lived a hobbit. Not a nasty, dirty, wet hole, filled with the ends of worms and am oozy smell, nor yet a dry, sandy hole with nothing in it to sit down on or to eat: it was a hobbit-hole, and that means comfort.

This was an excellent book and I recommend it to everyone. I love the way J.R.R. Tolkien writes. He has a cool style. He inspired me to write. I have short stories, poems, and books. I wrote a short story called “Sir Vaine, Knight of Gylor” which I will be making a page for. I hope to get all of my works published. What I am hoping to do is create a wikispaces for my book. That will be the HQ for “The Fight for Lancet.”

What I Wonder

I wonder whether my book shall get published (yes I used the word shall). I hope people come hither and thither to purchase my books (I also used hither and thither. I like using old British words. I even spell color with a u. Like this colour). Anyway, I hope it will be sold all over the world. If my book gets published I shall write a sequel and if that goes well I will continue and make it a Four book series. I hope that my books shall be everywhere.

One more thing…hither, thither, shall, and colour. Moohahaha. Also something I wonder is why people do not comment on my blog. After you comment this post please comment on something else.

The Lord of the Rings Blog

On google I searched “blog + The Lord of the Rings” and I found a really cool blog all about The Lord of the Rings im his article he talked about looking for a podcast on The Lord of the Rings on itunes. He found some about the new online Lord of the Rings game, “Lord of the Rings Online: Shadows of Angmar.”He had a link on it that went to the Lord of the Rings Online: Shadows of Angmar website. Check it out at http://www.lotro.com/. Anyway here are somethings he said in his blog.

Last week I was searching for Lord of the Rings related podcasts in iTunes and I stumbled on a podcast called “The Secrets of The Lord of the Rings”. Attracted by the title, I started listening to episode 3 and was very much surprised. In a few hours of time i also listened to the previous 2 episodes. Today I saw another episode has been released and after finishing this article I’ll go and listen to it. So why all the excitement?
First of all, the postcast is created by a Dutch Priest (who would suspect that?), secondly he takes us on a sightseeing trip through the online game “Lord of the Rings Online: Shadows of Angmar” and stops playing once in a while and covers serious subjects. Never heard any podcaster actually playing and describing an online game before … it is a one of a kind podcast! While only four podcasts sessions are available it promises to become a lovely and interesting series. And one thing is sure, the episodes get better everytime.

Save Your Environment

Our environment is getting polluted and that is affecting global warming. We need to help our environment and you can help. We need a lot of people to contribute in this. Share this with family, friends, family friends, your family’s friend’s friends, your family’s friend’s friend’s friends, and so on.

The first thing you can do is recycle. People just throw away their soda cans.

Soda Cans

Recycle those cans and people can re-use them like this;

Soda Can Art

Why waste cans? The recycled cans are used to make more cans so we don’t waste our environments resources. Also recycle paper and plastics. There are pencils that are made from 100% of news paper instead of wood. Which saves so many trees.

Another way is to plant a tree or have a garden. Bees will go to the flowers to get nectar to make honey. When they go to another flower they give pollen to other plants and help them grow.

Bee

After your garden has been polonized by the bees your garden will be bigger and better then ever.

English Country Gardens

Other animals that will come to your garden are humming birds.

One more way to help is put a bird house in your back yard.

Bird House

It doesn’t need to be as elaborate as this one. It can be very simple. People don’t realize it but when we cut down trees we are destroying many animals homes. Birds have no place to go. If you put up a bird house it gives them a home.

Doing these little things will help save our enviroment. Please take these ideas into consideration. If you have more ideas then by all means leave a comment.
